The Austin-based lifestyle and culture magazine, Tribeza, features CMPBS as part of their first-ever Green Issue, realeased July 2010. The article includes information about CMPBS’s current projects including single family housing for hurricane prone regions of the Gulf Coast and disaster relief housing for small island nations. CMPBS is featured alongside other Austinites working toward a more sustainable future.

The July issue of Tribeza is available at retail locations around Austin and online.

CMPBS co-director Gail Vittori was quoted in July’s issue of Health Facilities Management. She contributed commentary about sustainable hospital operations to the article “Green + Greener” written by Dave Carpenter. The July issue of Health Facilities Management is available on newsstands now. The article is also available electronically on the Health Facilities Management website.

Pliny Receives Award from The Austin Toastmasters

CMPBS co-director Piny Fisk was awarded the 2010 Communication Achievement Award from the Austin Toastmasters. The award recognized Pliny’s “Outstanding Contributions to Exceptional Communication.” The Austin Toastmasters is the local branch of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization committed to “helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience.” As part of this mission, The Austin Toastmasters honors members of the Austin community who have made significant contributions to effective communication at their Annual Banquet. Pliny joins the ranks of previous Communication Achievement Award honorees including Kinky Friedman, former Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, former Texas Governor Ann Richards, and US Representative Lloyd Doggett.
