Pliny Receives Award from The Austin Toastmasters

CMPBS co-director Piny Fisk was awarded the 2010 Communication Achievement Award from the Austin Toastmasters. The award recognized Pliny's "Outstanding Contributions to Exceptional Communication." The Austin Toastmasters is the local branch of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization committed to "helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience." As part of this mission, The Austin Toastmasters honors members of the Austin community who have made significant contributions to effective communication at their Annual Banquet. Pliny joins the ranks of previous Communication Achievement Award honorees including Kinky Friedman, former Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, former Texas Governor Ann Richards, and US Representative Lloyd Doggett.
