concept

Urban Azolla is an infrastructure solution combining carbon balancing, food production, wastewater treatment, housing, and air purification into a functional icon aligned with urban-scale green initiatives.

Climate change mitigation hub as functional urban focal point

Urban Azolla is an infrastructure solution combining carbon balancing, local food production, wastewater treatment, housing, and air purification into a functional icon for the City of Austin’s green efforts and history.

The system combines gap/keystone industries such as passive radiative sky cooling, basalt fibers as tensegrity skin, double helix electric charging core, azolla growth modules, power generation and hydrochar, hydrothermal carbonization, and micron separation.

In short, Urban Azollla could become a climate change mitigation hub, enabling cities to become carbon negative and climate resilient. Austin, Texas is uniquely positioned to demonstrate this compelling technology.

Azolla

is an aquatic fern that, when responsibly farmed, is capable of carbon balancing, food production, wastewater treatment, and biomass creation

49 Million Years Ago

the massive presence of Azolla catalyzed a dramatic, gradual decline in atmospheric CO2, a phenomenon that, if replicated today at scale, could lead to a similar effect

Infrastructure Solution

Urban Azolla can be an infrastructure solution as well as a functional icon aligned with urban-scale green initiatives
